FROG BOX
Pukapu and Water Melon Cat
This is a story about a day about a month
after Pukapu started his 4-D camp life.

Pukapu was very happy that morning.
A few days before, he had picked up a watermelon,
his favorite food, while he was wandering around the camp.
Pukapu carefully put it in the refrigerator and kept it there until today.
According to Pukapu, watermelons taste better when
they are cooled down to a crisp.

To eat it, you have to split the watermelon in two.
Puka-poo was not very familiar with handling a knife.
So he held up the knife as he remembered his mother's cooking.
(This is normal on Puka-Poo's planet.
(As for the children on Earth, please have your mothers help you.)
And that's when Puka-Poo swung the knife as hard as he could.

What a surprise!
A long tail and pointed ears, which were not supposed to be there,
suddenly appeared out of the watermelon.

Pukapu immediately took out a watermelon
that was locked in the refrigerator.
It was a big watermelon, about half the size of Pukapu's body.
I'm going to eat watermelon all day long!

What Pukapu was about to eat was a watermelon cat!
Pukapu was so startled that he involuntarily turned over.

As soon as the watermelon cat saw PukaPu's leg,
it bared its feline instincts and attacked.
But the watermelon cat just wanted to play with PukaPu.
It only bit Pukapu's leg sweetly.
Pukapu is still a child, so it didn't hurt that much,
but the shock of the bite made him cry half the time.

Unable to resist, Pukapu flapped his legs.
The watermelon cat became grumpy.
It knocked over the cactus houseplant, made a mess of the bookshelf,
and scratched the curtains.
The watermelon cat made a mess of Pukapu's room and ran out of the house.

The room was quiet as if a storm had just passed.
Pukapu was left alone and felt a little sad.
However, Pukapu got her spirits up and decided to put in order the cacti, bookshelves, and curtains that Watermelon Cat had destroyed, clean up the dirt and dust scattered about, and wait for Watermelon Cat's return.

As the sky turned orange and the crows began to cry
A watermelon cat came trotting back.
It had the tip of a pouch in its mouth, and the pouch was full of watermelons.
To Pukapu, it looked like it was saying, "I'm sorry.
The two quickly made up and ate watermelon together that day.

As the sun sets and night falls, Pukapu and Watermelon Cat,
who have become good friends, go to bed together and sleep peacefully.
Pukapu and the watermelon cat, who have become good friends,
are in bed together and going to sleep peacefully.
Let's play together again tomorrow!
